Therapy Services

Discover Interdisciplinary Therapy Services

Every service your child needs, coordinated under one roof by a team that communicates, collaborates, and builds toward the same goals.

Why It Matters

When your child's care works together, progress compounds.

Therapy works best when everyone is pulling in the same direction. At Mitchell's Place, your child's therapists don't just share a building. They share a plan, a progress tracker, and a weekly conversation about what your child needs next.

The result is care that compounds, not care that restarts every time you walk through a different door. That coordination shows up in the outcomes: children who communicate more confidently, navigate the world more independently, and arrive at kindergarten ready to belong. Every service here is designed to build on the others, so progress in one area opens doors in the next.

One plan. One team.

All therapists coordinate directly so your child's goals stay aligned across every session.

Real milestones. Real progress.

We measure what matters: first words, peer connections, kindergarten readiness, daily independence.

Evidence-based from the start.

Every approach we use is grounded in research and adapted to your child's specific needs.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

ABA therapy is one of the most well-researched approaches for children with autism. It helps children build communication, reduce challenging behaviors, and gain the skills they need to navigate daily life with greater confidence and independence.

  • Who It's For

Children with autism ages 2 and up who need structured, individualized support to build functional skills.

  • What to Expect

Your child works one-on-one with a trained behavior technician, supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Occupational Therapy

Everyday tasks like getting dressed, holding a pencil, or tolerating a noisy classroom can be genuinely hard for children with sensory or motor challenges. Our occupational therapists help children build the skills and sensory regulation they need to participate fully in school and daily life.

  • Who It's For

Children with autism ages 2 and up who struggle with sensory processing, motor coordination, or the everyday tasks that feel harder than they should.

  • What to Expect

Your child works with an occupational therapist to build the everyday skills that help them move, learn, and participate with confidence.

Feeding Therapy

Mealtimes shouldn't be a source of stress for your family. Our feeding therapists work with children who have limited diets, sensory sensitivities around food, or difficulty with the mechanics of eating to help expand what's possible at the table.

  • Who It's For

Children with restricted diets, food aversions, or oral motor challenges that make eating difficult.

  • What to Expect

A collaborative approach between our feeding therapist, your child, and your family to make gradual, sustainable progress.

Social Skills Groups

Friendship takes practice. Our social skills groups give children a supported space to work on the real stuff: starting conversations, reading social cues, handling conflict, and building the kind of connections that matter beyond the clinic walls.

  • Who It's For

Children with autism ages 2 and up who need support building the social confidence and peer connection skills that come with practice.

  • What to Expect

Your child practices real social situations with peers in a small, therapist-guided group setting designed to build confidence alongside skills.

  • Our son began Mitchell’s Place in fall of 2021, he started speech and occupational therapy. He began ABA therapy last November in 2022. We are absolutely amazed at the progress and accomplishments he has made and continues to surprise us every week. We have used the words “life changing” because it is absolutely the truth. We are so grateful for all the amazing therapist and staff at Mitchell’s Place. Our son is making his way, and they are providing him with all the tools he needs to succeed.

    Meagan Martin

  • Mitchell’s Place has been a blessing to our family. The education and therapy that has been provided to our son and us has made a huge impact that will last a lifetime.

    Jennifer Cowen

  • There’s a quote I think describes my feelings about Mitchell’s Place. “As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person”. The diagnosis of Autism threw a challenge to our family to find the best services available for my son Mitchell. Realizing the options were limited, we decided not only to help our son but to help other families as well by opening Mitchell’s Place in 2005. The outcomes speak for themselves and we are proud to be a part of the Mitchell’s Place Family.
